Why did this song forget about your eyes…
The Thigh Bone’s Connected to the Hip Bone and the Hip Bone’s Connected to the Back Bone…
And They Forgot
About the Eyes!
Maybe you’re old enough to remember that campfire song, Dem Bones, each lyric of which connects one set of bones in the body to the next.
Well, they forgot about the eyes!
Every muscle group in the body affects another. Tension, stress, and mis-alignment in one group seeps into others, forcing different muscles to over-compensate.
Nowhere is this more evident than with astigmatism. One of the causes of astigmatism is the un-balanced pull on the eyes from the extra-ocular muscles – the muscles that move your eyes in different directions.
As eye doctor Dr. Richard Kavner says in his ground-breaking book, Total Vision, “if the posture is tilted the eyes will attempt to compensate, straining some muscles and relaxing others.”
Astigmatism – Another Vision Myth
It was once believed that astigmatism was inherited and fixed, but that’s turning out to be nothing more than another myth about vision.
Eye doctor, Dr. Samuel Berne, writes in his book, Creating Your Personal Vision, “Astigmatism can be due to a twisting of the spine, pelvis or neck. In terms of body posture, there is a tightness or restriction in the musculature.”
I’ve lost count of how many people I’ve worked with who have gone back to their eye doctors – and their astigmatism is gone, changed or greatly reduced.
It doesn’t surprise me, but it certainly surprises their eye doctors!
Just as importantly, many people find that by working on their eyes they have found a doorway into re-balancing their entire body. When the eye muscles become more toned, flexible and balanced, the muscles in the head and neck feel the effect. And when the head and neck muscles become more toned, flexible and balanced, so do the shoulder muscles. And when the shoulder muscles…..
All the way through your body – down to your toes!
The benefits of working on your eyes filter through the rest of you – ALL of you!
That’s why I created The Easily Erase Astigmatism Program.
