More good fat, less bad, reduces age-related macular degeneration risk Two reports published in the May, 2009 issue of the American Medical Association journal Archives of Ophthalmology reveal a protective effect for omega-3 fatty acids, fish, nuts and olive oil, and an adverse effect for trans fatty acids, on the risk of developing age-related macular degeneration (AMD), a leading cause of vision loss in older individuals.

We recommended supplementing daily with a
high grade fish oil such as Carlsons Fish Oil

In the first study, Jennifer S.L. Tan, MBBS, BE at the University of Sydney, Australia and her colleagues evaluated data from 2,454 participants in the Blue Mountains Eye Study of men and women aged 49 and older. Those who consumed one serving of fish per week were shown to have a 31 percent lower adjusted risk of developing early AMD compared with those who consumed less.

In the second article, Elaine W. T. Chong, MD, PhD, of the Centre for Eye Research Australia and her associates evaluated data from 6,734 men and women aged 58 to 69 who participated in the Melbourne Collaborative Cohort Study. Dietary questionnaires completed between 1990 and 1994 were analyzed for the intake of various foods and individual fatty acids.

Follow up examinations conducted between 2003 and 2006 detected 2,872 cases of early age-related macular degeneration and 88 cases of late disease.
A high intake of trans-unsaturated fats was associated with a significant increase in late macular degeneration, with those whose intake was categorized as among the top 25 percent of participants having a 76 percent greater risk than those whose intake was among the lowest fourth.

Olive oil emerged as protective against no late disease. When those who reported consuming at least 100 milliliters per week olive oil were compared with those who consumed less than 1 milliliter per week, they were found to have a 52 percent lower risk of late AMD.

For early AMD, those whose omega-3 fatty acid intake was among the top 25 percent had a 15 percent lower risk compared with those whose intake was among the lowest quarter.

Trans fatty acids increase cholesterol levels and inflammation, both of which affect the eyes’ blood vessels, while omega-3 fatty acids may help protect the retina. Although the main fats contained in olive oil were not associated with macular degeneration risk, the oil contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds that could be protective. “A diet low in trans-unsaturated fat and rich in omega-3 fatty acids and olive oil may reduce the risk of AMD,” the authors conclude.

Editor’s Note1: STAY AWAY from bad oils including vegetable oils (unless truly organic and cold pressed), all trans fatty acids and fried oils.

Editor’s Note2: We recommended supplementing daily with a high grade fish oil such as Carlsons Fish Oil.

Pennsylvania researchers using gene therapy have made significant improvements in vision in 12 patients with a rare inherited visual defect, a finding that suggests it may be possible to produce similar improvements in a much larger number of patients with retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration.

The team last year reported success with three adult patients, an achievement that was hailed as a major accomplishment for gene therapy. They have now treated an additional nine patients, including five children, and find that the best results are achieved in the youngest patients, whose defective retinal cells have not had time to die off.

The youngest patient, 9-year-old Corey Haas, was considered legally blind before the treatment began. He was confined largely to his house and driveway when playing, had immense difficulties in navigating an obstacle course and required special enlarging equipment for books and help in the classroom.
Today, after a single injection of a gene-therapy product in one eye, he rides his bike around the neighborhood, needs no assistance in the classroom, navigates the obstacle course quickly and has even played his first game of softball.
The 12 patients had Leber’s congenital amaurosis, which affects about 3,000 people in the United States and perhaps 130,000 worldwide. Victims are born with severely impaired vision that deteriorates until they are totally blind, usually in childhood or adolescence. There is no treatment.

Leber’s is a good candidate for gene therapy because most of the visual apparatus is intact, particularly at birth and in childhood. Mistakes in 13 different genes are known to cause it, but all 12 of the patients suffered a defect in a gene called RPE65. This gene produces a vitamin A derivative that is crucial for detecting light.

The study, led by Dr. Katherine A. High, Dr. Albert M. Maguire and Dr. Jean Bennett of those two institutions, enrolled five people in the United States, five from Italy and two from Belgium. Five were children, and the oldest was 44.

Editor’s Note: In addition to the exciting research described above, there are specific nutrients that may help strengthen vision for those with Leber’s Disease. For more information, go what is used for to

Here’s what people who have tried the Rebuild Your Vision program are saying:

From Capri Smith, Chesterfield, VA:

“I wanted to write and tell you how thrilled I am with your program. I can’t help telling everyone I meet. After being told that I am not a good candidate for Lasik, I searched for another option. I skeptically ordered the Rebuild Your Vision program and am now full of praise. After just 5 days of doing
the exercises for 25 minutes each day, I could no longer see through my glasses.

A trip to the eye doctor confirmed what I already knew: the optometrist said that I had gone from myopia (nearsightedness) level 8 in my left eye and 5 in the right to 5 and 2, respectively. That’s a HUGE IMPROVEMENT! Half of my previous s!

I can see to walk around without my glasses (I had been 20/200) and can even read and watch TV! I can’t believe it and neither could the doctor (who by the way begged me not to tell anyone about this, because he was afraid I’d put him out of business)! Can’t wait to see more improvement.”

From Phil, U.S. Air Force Pilot:

“I’ve been a pilot in the US Air Force for 15 years. 2 years ago my eye exams were getting a lot more difficult and I was eventually told I was at 20/30 in my right eye and would need to start wearing corrective lenses while conducting flying duties. I tried the mg dosage Rebuild Your Vision program late last year after my dad gave it to me as a gift and on my last eye exam a week ago, I’m now seeing at 20/17 again!”

And here’s part of my story…

“Through the Rebuild Your Vision program I improved my vision from 20/85 to 20/25 in 30 days, passing the visual acuity test given to United States Navy fighter pilots, and threw away my glasses after using them for nearly 10 years.
“I wanted to write and tell you how thrilled I am with your program. I can’t help telling everyone I meet. After being told that I am not a good candidate for Lasik, I searched for another option. I skeptically ordered the Rebuild Your Vision program and am now full of praise. After just 5 days of doing the exercises for 25 minutes buy soft each day, I could no longer see through my glasses.

A trip to the eye doctor confirmed what I already knew: the optometrist said that I had gone from myopia (nearsightedness) level 8 in my left eye and 5 in the right to 5 and 2, respectively. That’s a HUGE I MPROVEMENT! Half of my previous s!

Q: How does natural vision correction work?

A: The focusing abilities of your eyes are controlled by a series of internal muscles. Due to the many stresses put upon the visual system, the use of glasses and contacts, and the natural aging process itself, these muscles become weak and distorted, which causes blurred vision.

The Rebuild Your Vision program is designed to strengthen and train these muscles — just as you would any other weak muscle in your body — and redirect your point of focus, helping you see clearly without corrective lenses.

This is easily achieved through a specific series of optical drills and eye exercises, which stimulate these eye muscles in a manner that would never be achieved through normal daily use. The Rebuild Your Vision program
teaches special techniques that help you prevent further deterioration for years to come.

Q: What do I do with my current glasses while my vision is improving?

A: We recommend having multi-level goals when you use the Rebuild Your Vision program. The first goal is to prevent further deterioration of your vision and reduce your dependency on glasses or contacts. This can be done in the first few days with simple techniques and habits that are outlined in our program.

The second goal is to improve your vision to a desired level, including not using your glasses at all, which is a very possible expectation for many. While your vision is improving, you may need to obtain a new lens
so that your current does not overcompensate for your vision improvement. Many people are able to make this transition without doing so, but if required, it is a small sacrifice for the benefits you will obtain.

Q: What is the success rate of natural vision correction?

A: The following are two excerpts demonstrating the high percentage of success the general subject of natural vision therapy has had.

“[In a study that examined] the effectiveness of optometric vision training in certain types of visuamotor anomalies … the (overall) percentage of success was 90%.” — Leon Hoffman, O.D., et al. (1973) American Journal of Optometry and Archives of American Academy of Optometry

“Symptoms were totally eliminated in 53% of the patients, reduced in 43% and remained the same in only 4%. Therefore … an overall success rate of 96%. There is an impressive and increasing body of evidence attesting to the trainability of accommodative function.” (From a study of 96 patients
with some type of accommodative dysfunction who had completed a vision therapy program.) — Irwin B. Suchoff, O.D., and Timothy G. Petito, O.D. (1986) Journal of the American Optometric Association

Q: How long do I have to use the Rebuild Your Vision program until I see results?

A: Most people begin to see improvements within the first week or two, with significant gains in the following months. The catch to seeing improvements is investing time and dedication into the program.

Q: Are there any potential side effects to using natural vision- correction eye exercises?

A: There’s no risk or potential side effects from using the Rebuild Your Vision program, as it is both a safe and a natural way to improve your vision.

Q: How much time do I have to spend each day doing the eye exercises?

A: Only 25 minutes a day brings results.

Q: Where can I get the Rebuild Your Vision program?

A: You can only obtain the Rebuild Your Vision program through our Web site. The Rebuild Your Vision program has over a 90% success rate and comes with a full 6-month unconditional guarantee. It’s yours to own for only $79, and it can save you thousands of dollars on expensive eyeglasses, contacts, sunglasses, eye-care supplies, or surgery.

See The Beauty: Fighting Aging Vision

www.rebuild-your-vision.com/order-guaranteed

Getting old is inevitable, but losing your vision doesn’t have to be.

Presbyopia,or “aging vision,” as it is commonly referred to, is the hardening of the lens and tightening of the eye musclesassociated with aging.

This condition occurs in nearly everyone at some point in their lives, typically around the age of 40. Aging vision causes the ciliary muscle, which is the muscle that is responsible for focusing, to become inflexible. It is therefore unable to change the shape of the lens the amount required to focus on near-point objects.

At first you might find it hard to focus on the newspaper or on a menu at a restaurant. Before you know it, your arms aren’t long enough to read anything.

Inevitably, off you go to get your first pair of reading glasses — your optician or local drugstore owner smiling all the way, as you have just become a lifelong customer!

Years ago, a woman by the name of Debbie, who was experiencing her own bout with aging vision, wrote me with her incredible story of vision improvement.

She was tired of her vision getting worse as the years took their toll on her body. So she decided to be proactive about her eyesight deterioration, and she ordered the Rebuild Your Vision program.

And here’s what happened…

“Dear friends,

I am thrilled with the program. I have seen such improvement
in my vision. I can see my grandson’s beautiful black eyelashes without
my glasses, and today I read him three books with only the sunlight from
the window, and no glasses on. Tonight when I watched television I could
actually make out the faces. It hasn’t been that way for a long time…”

Since then, I’ve read innumerable letters and e-mails from people like Debbie who have used the program with tremendous success, but hers is still one of my favorites.

http://www.your-vision-care.com

If you, like Debbie, suffer from presbyopia, you too can stop its cruel effects.

As mentioned above, science has proven that stiffening of the components of the eye is the cause of aging vision. As a matter of fact, you probably have more than a few muscles that don’t feel quite as limber as they used to!

What do you do when you have a tight hamstring or tricep? You stretch it out every day, and over time, it regains its flexibility and elasticity.

Well, your eyes are no different.

There are special optical exercises and vision-improvement techniques that can help you regain the elasticity that your eyes once had and the clear,
natural vision that you remember from years ago.

There’s just one catch:You have to do the exercises!

And when you do the exercises, in just a few weeks (sometimes even days), you’ll begin to stop the vicious cycle of eyesight deterioration and start to notice tremendous improvements in your vision.

Imagine enjoying the newspaper without searching the house for your glasses. Or celebrating at a special restaurant without having to hold the menu at arm’s length.

It’s absolutely possible.

Just ask Debbie or the thousands of others who have taken the first step to improving their vision naturally.

You’re just a few mouse clicks away from learning how Debbie and thousands of others who suffer with nearsightedness, astigmatism, and aging eyes have corrected their vision naturally.

See for yourself at http://www.your-vision-care.com

By now you are probably curious about the Rebuild Your Vision program…and also full of questions: generic best price Where did natural vision correction come from? How long do I have to use the program to see results? What do I do with my glasses while my vision’s improving?

To your vision — for life,

Here’s the controversial question I get asked a lot:

If natural vision training is so effective and has so many endorsements, then why do most people get Lasik surgery or corrective lenses instead?

http://www.your-vision-care.com

And here’s the answer…

In 1998, it was estimated that the U.S. optical industry was worth $30.2 billion (Vision Council of America, 1999). This number included such items as exam fees and office visits, surgical fees, ophthalmic pharmaceuticals, retail eyewear sales, and retail sales for consumables such as contact lens solutions.

Now ask yourself this question:

If vision training were presented as a viable option to remedy eye disorders, would there be a need for consumers to spend thousands of dollars every year on the products and services that create profits for the eye-care industry?

http://www.your-vision-care.com

I’m not suggesting that an annual eye examination for more complex eye disorders and diseases isn’t needed-but if only a fraction of those who require corrective lenses would participate in vision training, it would mean a staggering loss in profits from the purchase of optical products and services.

In an article written
by Dr. Mitchell Scheiman (Chief of the Pediatric Binocular Vision Service of
the Eye Institute at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry), he provides some interesting insights as to why most eye doctors don’t provide services in natural vision therapy.

http://www.your-vision-care.com

He found that:

*Most eye doctors don’t believe there’s practice-building potential [in natural vision therapy], especially with managed care.

*Because most eye doctors don’t see vision therapy as being profitable, they therefore do not offer it.

The fact of the matter is, there’s BIG money in selling glasses and contacts-along with the eye exams and everything else that goes with them.

http://www.your-vision-care.com

While natural vision improvement how it works isn’t nearly as profitable as surgery or corrective lenses, you, the consumer, can save hundreds or perhaps thousands of dollars by safely and naturally rebuilding your vision through the use of tested eye exercises.

And I feel good about offering it.

To your vision — for life,
